"My 4 year old, Julia, started taking lessons with Ms. Betz almost 5 months ago as a last minute decision and what a great decision it was! She can already sit at any piano and find her keys and play simple songs by heart. She loves to practice and really loves to go to lessons. Piano lesson day at our house is a very exciting day. We are extremely happy with the Ada Piano experience!!" - mom to Julia and Alex, Grand Rapids, MI

Our piano instructor will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, but we will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. Our guitar teacher teaches rock, blues, metal, country and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. Beginner students can expect to work with note reading, musical terminology, chords, simple songs, melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of guitar method books to accomplish this.
SINGING LESSONS for CHILDREN:
(ages 4 - 13)
All kids love to sing their favorite songs from movies, from church, from the radio, etc. We offer young students a chance to just explore their voice with some coaching because they are singing at home anyway and with friends. Singing lessons are not voice lessons. We will focus on having fun, using a microphone, performing, learning the story behind the song, diction, pitch, warm up exercises and breathing. Lessons for children will focus on motivation and enjoyable while singing their favorite songs.
Singing lessons for younger children are motivating, fun and energetic; helping your child to love performing and reaching their desired goals. Students may also sing during their piano and guitar lessons.

PRESCHOOL and KINDERGARTEN LESSONS (for ages 3 - 6)
Ada Piano Academy offers preschool and kindergarten music lessons (one-on-one). Your 3 - 6 years old child can take piano, keyboard, violin, cello, recorder and guitar lessons.
PRE-K PIANO (for ages 3 -6): Our master instructor only requires your child to be able to recognize letters A-G and numbers 1-5, that's it to begin private lessons. We use a very FUN, easy piano series written by preschool and music instructors.
Your child will begin learning on the black keys and white key letter names. Within 1 to 5 months (other students may take longer/shorter) when they will learn to read music notation on the music staff. We balance piano skills with ear training and interval recognition. Your child will use fun solo books within the second month (optional).
VIOLIN/CELLO (for ages 3 - 6): Your child will be given a fun, easy violin method book. Learning to hold the instrument, holding the bow, posture, note reading, music terms, tone and fingering technique, all age appropriate. Our string lessons will incorporate ear training, pitch development and tuning. We do not recommend purchasing an instrument as your child will be growing. We recommend renting one from your local music store. Your academy instructor will assist you in renting recommendations.
GUITAR/UKELELE (for ages 5 and 6): Our kindergarten guitar/ukelele lessons are geared towards the young 5 and 6 years old. Your child will begin from a simple, easy, fun guitar book which will teach them proper holding position, fingerings, music terms and note reading. Your child will begin learning songs right away.
